British job market has been opened for the EU citizens since May of 2004. A visa or work permit is not required but there are still some regulations.
A registration at Home Office is required within one month of working in the UK. This registration is called ‘Workers Registration Scheme’

With the registration form you have to enclose a letter from your current employer. The letter must confirms that you currently work for him. Also enclose two photos of yourself (45 mm x 35 mm) and your ID or passport.
Registration fee is 70 pounds.
If you change your job within one year from your registration you have to registrate again but with exeption of paying the registration fee.
